Photo shows all the of pieces in the pattern have been completed and are laid out together

For this project I made all the parts before putting anything together. nothing but the body needs to be stuffed unless you are using a larger hook/heavier weight yarn.

The photo shows the the pink ball is secured to the top of Spoink's head at the MR point of this piece.

First, I attached the pink ball to the very top of the head by adding a few tight stitches between the two pieces.

The photo shows the ears are pinned into position on Spoink's head. There is no space inbetween each ear and the pink ball.

This photo shows the ears pinned in place but from Spoink's profile.

The photo shows that the ears have now been stitched in placed with a little stuffing inside each to fill them out

Next I attached the ears. The ears should be a flattened a little  horizontally when attaching, like cat ears. When pinning the ears on, make sure the ears are firmly against the ball. If there is still a gap you can add a stitch between the ear and ball to close the space.

This photo shows Spoink's arms attached with a little stuffing inside. The arms are placed about a large thumb width away from the ears.

I then attached the arms. The arms should be flattened a little vertically then pinned in place.

The photo shows Sponk;s nose piece pinned in place. It is center to the pink ball on top and in line with the arms

Photo shows another view of the nose, this time from directly above to show that it is inline with the arms.

The photo shows that the nose has been stitched in place and the pins have been removed. The front of the nose is flat like a pig

Almost there! When pinning the nose on, push the bottom up a little as shown above to create a pig nose shape.

The photo shows yarn has been threaded through one side of the nose for a nostril slit and pins are placed on the other side to mark where the other slit will go, about 1cm from the first.

Mark the beginning and end of the nostrils with pins. Take a small piece of black yarn and thread this through. Knot together, move the knot to the bottom then thread the ends in.

The photo shows the end of some sturdy craft wire, it has beem bent around itself so the sharp end isn't expose.

The photo shows that the tail piece has been threaded onto the craft wire
The photo shows the end of the wire poking out of the tail end has been twisted into a corkshrew like shape

The photo shows the corkscrew end of the wire is being worked and twisted into the body of Spoink at the base of the back

Next is the tail. First, bend the end of the craft wire as shown above. Thread the wire onto the tail then cut the wire 4cm~ longer than the tail. Create a corkscrew with the end (I cut mine a little shorter after the above photo was taken).  Screw the wire into the body where you want the tail to start. Once through you can pin the crocheted part of the tail to the body then stitch in place.

This photo shows the needle felt details in progress. Pins have been placed on the cheeks to mark where the needle felting will go before the needle felting is started.

Bend the wire as shown above, you may have to adjust it quite a bit before Spoink will be able to stand. At this point I also marked where I was going to needle felt the cheeks and eyes but you could also use an alternative method.
